  • e-gg works to adapt, extend and retrofit a former nursing home to provide a nature-rich alternative to mainstream education for young people with learning difficulties.

  • Delivering an internal remodelling and extension of a locally listed family home situated in a conservation area.

The client also requested a new garden room to accommodate a sauna, yoga studio and home office.

  • Ryefields - view to the terrace

Transforming a 1970s Brutalist building into a school for children with additional social, emotional and mental health needs.

Set within a relatively constrained site a short distance from the city centre, the former adult learning centre required a substantial retrofit to facilitate The Aurora Group’s exceptional education and support for vulnerable young people in Derby.

  • Introducing flow into a locally listed house, with an elegant single-storey wraparound extension.

  • Proposing and prototyping porches for a Milton Keynes estate to be in-keeping with the existing buildings, maintenance free and rot-resistant.

  • The design of seven new-build ecohomes on Grey Belt land with best-practice passive and low-energy design

Impact

Our projects make a difference.

We design elegant, ambitious and environmentally sensitive solutions that add real value for clients and communities alike.

As certified Passivhaus designers, we promote architecture as adaptation: adjusting what you have to better provide what you need. Not every project needs a whole new building.

Over 1000 pupils back in education

Over 400 trees planted in our projects
